Welcome

This blog is about our family and our history at least what I have been able to find so far. After 10 years of off and on research it became apparent that a blog would be the best way to share, as much or as little in some cases, with as many of you as possible. The search continues, usually in blocks of time and effort but I will update this site when I find new bits of information.

The information here is only as good as the research I can do. Mostly research is done through Ancestry or Family Search and I have been fortunate enough to connect with distant relatives that I would never have know existed expect for posting inquires on the internet, their help has been most appriciated. Special thanks to Jeff Young (Bowen info), Hal Hatcher (Hammer and Moon info), Glenda Card (Bathurst info), Donna Hayes Stueve ( Hazel Bathurst info) and John Bathurst who without his more than half century of investigation and meticulous record keeping an accurate genealogical history of the Bathurst would not have been possible.

New News

January 2011: Additional information is being added regarding Sir Francis Bathurst journey to Georgia and the death of several members of the Bathurst family. December 23, 2010: New Photos have been posted on the Bathurst Photo page and I have started some history of the American Bathurst Lineage on the Bathurst Documents Page. There is a lot of information to be included so it will be an ongoing process. November: A new photo of Mary Susan Bowen was added recently and additional information regarding Edwin Moon and his first marriage to Margaret Hammer was also included.
