Thanksgiving Feast
Thanksgiving is over and we finished off the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers yesterday. Because Jason had to work and was only able to stop in a couple of times throughout the day we decided to turn our normal one day, cram everything in, eating extravaganza into a two day feast! Our daughter-in-law Melissa and grandson Bentley were going to Melissa's dad's for Thanksgiving Dinner later in the afternoon, so we decided on appetizer finger foods so we could eat all day and play cards. Well, we did eat all day but the Cowboys and Saints played and that was a must see game. Marvin, our son-in-law, is from Louisiana, Randy's mother lived most of her life in Texas and Randy spent a few years there as well and his sister is still there, so we had a little bit of rivalry going on. I'm not a big football fan but I do like some friendly family competition and as you may already know Marvin and the Saints came out on top - at least this time! We did manage to get in one complete game of Trump - it takes about 2 hours to play all the way through and I believe Lisa won that game and I came out close to last as usual. So the Woodard's took the prize on both counts that day. The following day, Friday, Jason joined us for our traditional Thanksgiving dinner and afternoon of cards. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful close family and we give thanks each and every day of the year that we can all be together. I hope you all had a peaceful day as well. Love Bobbi
